About the Making TRACKS Project
The Making TRACKS project was developed by naturalist Sheri Amsel, the founder and science coordinator of the Exploring Nature Educational Resource (a natural science reference website for K-8th grade students and educators.)
With undergraduate degrees in botany and zoology and a master’s degree in anatomy and biomedical illustration, Amsel has written and illustrated more than 20 books on science and nature topics for children and adults, completed an internship at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. in scientific illustration, visited hundreds of schools and libraries nationally with science programming, developed nature trails for schools and nature centers, and taught college science for ten years. Amsel works out of her home studio in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York.
All illustrations on this site were done by Sheri Amsel and are copyrighted 2007 Making TRACKS.
